Alrighty, get your thinking caps on folks--all 7 of you--and think , think , think.
It is a mystery of sorts....
I was getting ready to make an egg for breakfast this morning when I opened the 18 pack of eggs to find 6 of the eggs cracked!
I checked all the eggs before we left the store and none were cracked.
No one dropped the eggs on the way to depositing them safely in the refrigerator.
No one placed anything on top of the eggs (as far as I could see).
Why did the eggs crack?
Please explain. And no googling for the answer. You need to think this one out in your head.
Since this is our first contest, the prize is modest. The prizes will get better. Really.
The first person to correctly post the 'how and/or why' of this egg event will get a $5 gift card to Starbucks.
Contest closes 8pm est tomorrow or whenever the correct answer is posted in the comments section.

Keep the hints coming, dear Twinkle!

Say, Maw Maw and Pappy think the following...the eggs really heated up in the car - and in this "HEATED STATE" they were placed in a very "COLD, COLD" environment - thus a few surcummed to the temperature of the refrigerator and cracked due to their environment in the car. ; )
no idea... so much for getting the "best science student" award. :)

Brian and I think that the eggs were next to something VERY cold in the fridge. So that whole line of 6 eggs that was up against something extra chilly (frozen? something being thawed?) the eggs cracked. It's the best we can come up with! :) jen
k im sticking with my original guess - - change in temperature... :D cant think of any other reason.. hmm...
I think One Cent snuck up onto the counter and broke the eggs accidentally! :)

P.S. Our Google email is "donobuyer," but you all can always email us at "mdonovan," our regular one. We love your blog and miss you!
We were thinking it had something to do with the temperature, too, even before we peeked! We think drastic temperature changes cause cracking in lots of things...like ice when you put it into a glass of hot water...and maybe eggs!

It seems to me that we have more of a mystery than contest. Shylock might say that Homes did it. I say the eggs were placed too close to Colonel Mustard and the eggs absorded to much of the noxious gases from said mustard. Hence the cracks.
